What Author Jonathan Cahn says about the Coming Shemitah Falling on a Sunday (Part 4)

In the previous three posts, we’ve been looking at the fact that the coming Shemitah will fall on a Sunday: September 13, 2015.

I’m not the only one who has noticed this. Jonathan Cahn, in his book The Mystery of the Shemitah, also talks about this and has some interesting thoughts to share. Let me share a few paragraphs:

The coming Shemitah [year] will end September 2015. Its final climactic day, Elul 29, the Day of Remission, will fall on Sunday, September 13. Since the stock markets are closed, this would preclude the beginning of a market collapse that day, inasmuch as America is concerned.

But there are other possibilities. While nothing has to take place on or around this time, if something were to happen, a collapse or calamity could take place just before or after that weekend, or both before and after. It could also take place within the larger Elul-Tishri period surrounding Elul 29. Another possibility is that of a trigger event that takes place outside the time of the markets’ openings that could bring about a market collapse—as in the case of 9/11. And there is the possibility of a calamity taking place beyond and apart from the financial and economic realms, and yet which causes the collapse of both these realms.

It is worthy to note that as it was in 2001, so it will be again in 2015—the last day the market will be open before Elul 29, the Day of Nullification, will be September 11.

(Regarding his reference to “the larger Elul-Tishri period”: Tishri is the name of the first month of the year on the Jewish / Biblical calendar, so it follows the month of Elul.)

The Shemitah is both a day and a whole year. The Shemitah year starts on Tishri 1 and ends on Elul 29. For more on Elul 29, see my June 11, 2015, post "When is the Shemitah 2015?"

TWEETABLES:

While nothing MUST take place on #September13, a collapse or calamity could take place before / after that weekend. (Tweet that!)

A possibility is a trigger event outside the #Stockmarkets' opening could bring a market collapse - like at #9/11. (Tweet that!)

Possibly a calamity apart from #financial & #economic realms causes the collapse of both realms. (Tweet that!)

As in 2001 so again in 2015: the last day the #stockmarket will be open before #Elul29 will be #September11. (Tweet that!)

  1. A reader posted a comment with a link to his book which appears to promote multiple pagan religions to interpret ...something or other. I promote the only true "religion" (It's not really a religion; it's reality.) -- Christianity -- on my blog. While I allow, enjoy, and encourage comments, I will not allow my blog to be used to advertise books that I cannot endorse. That's why I have deleted the reader's comment.

  2. Interesting note...Sunday in the USA is actually Monday in Israel as they are toward the Far East and almost an entire day ahead of us. So since we are talking about the Jewish calendar, I would think we'd go by their day and not ours.

  3. At this time, 8:00am (CST) on Sept 13 in USA, which makes it 4:00pm in Israel. There are 9 more hours until midnight and Monday begins.
