As the Shemitah begins this very
evening, and as we see so many different crises happening all over the world,
and as we read articles like the one I posted Tuesday and watch videos like the
one I shared Thursday, it's easy to feel anxious, get disturbed, or be downright
frightened. (Tweet that!)
So I want to remind you that
if you are a Christian, you are not supposed to be fearful. Rather, you are to
trust Jesus, who is God Himself, to take care of you. And He will. (Tweet that!)
This is training. This is
happening to train you to trust Him. For the Christian, that's what it's all
about. (Tweet that!)
If you are not a Christian, you
can become one right this instant by simply telling Jesus you have sinned
against God, you accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross to pay for your sins, and
you want to be His forever more. (Tweet that!) Then ask Him to show you what to do and teach
you how to live. That's it.
Let me encourage you now with
words from Jesus:
Jesus says: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me." (John 14:1)
(Tweet that!)
Jesus says: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27)
Jesus says: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
Jesus says: "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)

Remember there is a partial Solar Eclipse tomorrow during the Shemitah. Most of us will not be able to see it. It is not visible in the United States. To find out what you can see, when, and where, check this site:
