Sweden: Lesbian Bishop of Stockholm Proposes Removing Christian Crosses, Installing Pointers to Mecca (Video)

Eva Brunne, lesbian Bishop in
Church of Sweden
Image from YouTube.com
In Sweden, a lesbian Bishop in the Church of Sweden proposed removing Christian crosses and installing pointers to Mecca for Muslims who would like to come into the church and pray. (Tweet that!) If the fact that the Church made a homosexual woman a Bishop didn't give the Church of Sweden something to pause and think about, why would it have it problem with her proposal?

This is the infiltration of what appears to have been a Christian church by those who are not Christian. Any church with a homosexual in leadership is not a Christian church. (Tweet that!) If that church claims to be Christian, it is a false church led by false prophets and false pastors and false priests. (Tweet that!)

Thankfully, this lesbian woman who is married to another woman and who has a son, does not have authority over the Seamen's mission church. An October 5, 2015 article on Breitbart.com titled "World's First Lesbian Bishop Calls for Church to Remove Crosses, to Install Muslim Prayer Space" said this:
As an independent mission the church operates outside of the diocese, and so the bishop has no authority there, a fact reflected by the response of the church director who said the bishop's words were her business alone.
When asked whether she would be removing the cross from her church, Kiki Wetterberg responded: "I have no problem with Muslim or Hindu sailors coming here and praying. But I believe that we are a Christian church, so we keep the symbols. If I visit a mosque I do not ask them to take down their symbols. It's my choice to go in there".

A YouTube video from a channel called "End Times News Ministry" shares proper indignation in this short video:

"Swedish Lesbian Bishop Rejects the Cross and Points to Mecca (Eva Brunne)"
Runs 3:24

This is what the Bible says. The word "sanctified" means "set apart" for the true God.
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men [also includes women having sex with women] nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified [set apart], you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.  1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Like Christians, the Christian church is set apart for the one true God. Allowing other religions -- and those devoted to homosexuality and spreading it can be considered religious but not Christian, like this lesbian Bishop of Sweden's Stockholm church -- to come in corrupts the purity of the Christian church and cannot be tolerated.

How the United States of America is Like First-Century Israel in the Bible

The White House

As I wrote my previous post, "Lawlessness" in Bible Prophecy: Are We Seeing It Now?, it occurred to me how much we, here in the United States, are like that first-century crowd  in Israel who witnessed the first coming of Jesus.

So many people in our day see the problems facing our world and the devastation that is coming. In the United States we see the wrong-doing and the wrong choices being made and forced upon us by those in leadership in our nation. (Tweet that!)

We know that the United States of America is not too big to fail. (Tweet that!)

We are desperate for solutions. We know the solutions--moving back towards the one true God of the Bible, His way of doing things, and honoring Him in our nation--and yet we are helpless to carry out any such ideas because most of those in leadership insist on going their own way, on not listening to the people, on forcing wrong policies on us. We do have some good people in leadership, but they are too few, even when they band together, to overcome the majority who are taking us in the wrong direction.

As so what do we do? We look forward to the next election. We hope that the next election will remove more of those who are leading our country in the wrong direction and will put into places of leadership and power more people who will lead us in a right direction.

But we have been trying to correct the course our country is on for several elections now, and while we may make progress, it has not yet been enough to make a difference in the direction our nation is moving in between those elections.

Our elections of our political leaders are too few and too far in between, while meanwhile decisions are being made every week or every day that take us farther down the wrong path.

We are looking for a political solution to our problems.

This is exactly what the first-century people in Israel were doing the first time Jesus came. They expected Jesus to be a political leader who would deliver them from the occupying forces of Rome and their Roman oppressors.

Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself. (John 6:15, ESV)

Don't get me wrong. Please! I am so very grateful for the hard work of those who run for office and campaign so hard to win in order to become our leaders who will turn this country back toward the right course.

I am also so very grateful for those conservative commentators who work so hard to education the people and make a difference in our county.

I believe history will honor men like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity for their extraordinary efforts to make a positive difference in the United States of America.

However, as I watch them and listen, and as I watch our elections, I am reminded of their past campaigns such as Sean Hannity's "Defeat Obama Express" and Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos." And yet despite all their efforts, President Obama still won the election. Again.

So what does this say? To me it says we will not find a political solution.

So what are we to think about these men and their efforts? I believe these conservative commentators are doing a remarkable job that must be done. (And these are only two examples of many men and women who are doing similar work.) They are talking about what is wrong with our nation, and because of them in the end there will be no excuse for anyone not knowing what was going on, what was wrong, and what could have been done to make it right. (Tweet that!) In a very real sense, they are doing God's work.

But at the same time, I don't believe there will be a political solution to the problems facing America. I don't believe we will be able to wait for enough elections to replace those leading us in a wrong direction with those who would lead is in a right direction.

I believe it's all too little and too late. I believe we're already over the cliff; it's just going to take us a while to hit the bottom. Yes, I'm pretty pessimistic about the future of the United States of America.

That's probably why political commentators don't talk about Bible prophecy. That's probably also why I wouldn't make a good talk show host. (Tweet that!)

To those who are doing such work, whether in political commentary or in running for office, please keep on. Keep working. Don't ever give up. We need you. I need you. Keep on doing good. Keep on calling out wrong, promoting right, and defining the difference. (Tweet that!)

In the end, we need to know that everything that possibly could be done to redirect our nation onto a right path, right in God's sight, has been done. That's important. (Tweet that!)

But in the end, the Bible prophecies will be fulfilled. So whether that comes sooner or later, whatever happens in or to the United States of America, the ultimate answer is not in politics but in individuals and national leaders looking to and following the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Lawlessness" in Bible Prophecy: Are We Seeing It Now?

The White House at Night
Public Domain Images
In my August 14, 2014, post, I mentioned the topic of "lawlessness" and that this would be a discussion for another day. Maybe that's a good topic for today. (Tweet that!) Did you know the term "lawlessness" is in the Bible in regard to prophecy?

Back on August 14, we were looking at that prophetic chapter in the Bible where Jesus talked with his disciples about what would be happening in the End Times, just before his return. Jesus was answering the question his disciples asked about what would be signs that he was coming soon?

In answer, Jesus gave a list of many things that would be happening in our world that would be "signs." Within this context, Jesus said in verses 12, this:

12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:12, NKJV).

To me, lawlessness means a total disregard for the law. It means not only that the law is not followed, but there is an attitude that a person doesn't care if the law is followed. How much worse is that situation when law enforcement officers are instructed not to enforce the laws (which has been happening in the United States for years)? And how much worse from that does it get when the highest ranking officials in the nation disregard the law?

This week the news is buzzing with President Barack Obama's speech Thursday night and his Executive Order signed Friday reforming the immigration laws of the United States. (Tweet that!) Both sides are arguing whether this, and other changes President Obama has made (for example changes to his Health Care Law), are indeed legal. Please note just because the President, in his speech, said what he is doing is completely legal doesn't mean it is.

Do you remember what the oath says that every President swears or affirms before he (or she) takes office? Here it is:

The oath of office of the President of the United States is an oath or affirmation required by the United States Constitution before the President begins the execution of the office. The wording is specified in Article TwoSection OneClause Eight:
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:— “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”  Wikipedia

Interestingly, it is this very same Constitution of the United States that makes him President in the first place.

Also, just because the President, or anyone else, quotes the Bible does not mean he or they are using that quote in context or with its true meaning. I always find it interesting when people who, on any other day, act or speak as though they are so opposed to what the Bible has to say attempt to use it to defend and justify what they are doing. That should be a red flag to anyone. (Tweet that!)

According to Bible prophecy, a time of complete lawlessness will come before the Antichrist appears. Am I saying what President Barack Obama has done completes that and fulfills that Bible prophecy? No. The prophesied lawlessness will be world-wide, not just in the United States.

Secondly, am I saying President Barack Obama is the Antichrist? For heaven's sake, NO. Did I answer that clearly enough? I only brought up this question to answer it because I've heard the question asked so many times. No, Barack Obama is not the Antichrist. (There are many factors about the Antichrist described in the Bible that President Obama does not fit. He is not the Antichrist.)

But I do believe everything, everything, in the world is being moved into place like chess pieces preparing the way for Antichrist to come.

For Antichrist to prosper, take over, lead the world and be followed and even loved by the majority of people, lawlessness must exist. There must be no regard for the good laws of this Christian land and no regard for the laws of God. (Tweet that!)

Lawlessness has moved up the ranks from some individuals (the world has always had at least some lawless individuals), to many more individuals (though not all), to world leaders. (Tweet that!)

This is my prediction: Lawlessness will increase. Worldwide. And history will show the actions of this President plays a part in that and paves the way for more. (Tweet that!)

The Love of Many Shall Wax Cold

Morguefile.com
Jesus then says that because of all this persecution, hatred, betrayal, turning away from the Christian faith, false prophets leading many astray, and deception, this will be one result:
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:12-13, NIV).

The New Living Translation says it this way:
Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.
The New King James Version says it like this:
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
"Lawlessness." How often are we hearing that word today? There's another prophecy all about that very term ("man of lawlessness," see 2 Thessalonians 2 - there's two different translations at that link), but that's a whole big discussion for another day. (Tweet that!)

The original King James Version uses this phrase which has always stuck in my mind:
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
That phrase has stuck with me because it is such a visual image. "The love of many shall wax cold." (Tweet that!Love waxes cold. Love no longer flows. What a sad and desperate condition. But this is what will happen when Christians are slammed and silenced and persecuted and hated and betrayed to death. (Tweet that!)

God is love (1 John 4:8), and without His representatives in the world allowed to speak His truth about what is sin and what is right, when we are hushed from speaking the truth about sin, which is the most loving thing to do, love waxes cold. (Tweet that!)

But not all love will wax cold. The love of most or of many will wax cold, but not of all. (Tweet that!) The one who stands, those who remain firm in their faith in Jesus through to the very end, will be saved.

What does it mean that these people will be saved? I believe these are those who have already been saved to eternal life because of their faith in Jesus. (If you're not one of us, you can be at any moment you believe in Jesus as your Savior.) Because of Him, their love will never wax cold. (Tweet that!)
