The Isaiah 9:10 Effect and the Final Blood Moon

This week we've been talking about the Isaiah 9/10 Effect as defined by author Jonathan Cahn in his book The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide:
The attempt of a nation to defy the course of its judgment, apart from repentance, will instead set in motion a chain of events to bring about the very calamity it sought to avert. (page 68).

We've also been talking about what might happen if America does not repent and turn back to God. (Tweet that)

In the previous post we talked about the coming Shemitah on September 13, 2015. (Tweet that!)

Two weeks after that Shemitah, the final "Blood Moon" total lunar eclipse takes place on the Feast of Tabernacles which is September 28, 2015. (Tweet that!)

There is a lot of debate about the meaning, if any, of the Blood Moons. (Tweet that!) Even some churches won't talk about theses lunar eclipses on important Jewish holidays. I think that's tragic.(Tweet that!)

Why are churches keeping their own people in the dark? (Tweet that!) I believe they will have to answer to God about why they would not allow their people to be informed. This is why I'm so passionate about getting the word out so as many people as possible can hear about this. (Tweet that!) I'm asking you to help me spread the word if you will.

I don't claim to know what it all means. But I am absolutely convinced it all means something! Beyond that it's all speculation. But let's speculate.

Could the final blood moon be the final date of when we, the United States of America, can turn back? (Tweet that!)

Are we already set on our course and there is no turning back? (Tweet that!)

Here's what I truly believe: We could turn back. And God would forgive us and set us on a course of redemption. But that will not happen. (Tweet that!)

Why do I say that will not happen? Because I see zero signs of turning from our current course.

Without turning, we are headed straight into the "very calamity it [that is, our nation and its leaders] sought to avert" by becoming strong without God. (Tweet that!)

I hope our nation will turn away from its current course of defying God and turn back to God. But I simply don't think that's going to happen. (Tweet that!)

The Isaiah 9:10 Effect and the Shemitah

In previous posts we looked at the Isaiah 9/10 Effect, and that it means that if a nation tries to defy the course of its judgment without repentance and turning back to God, it will instead set in motion a chain of events to bring about the very calamity it sought to avert (Jonathan Cahn’s The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide, page 68). (Tweet that!)

What will happen if we, the United States of America, do not turn around and turn back to God?

Beheadings are happening in the Middle East. Persecution of Christians seems to be increasing. What's to stop that from coming here – to the United States? (Tweet that!)

On April 14, 2015, Judicial Watch reported that ISIS has a camp only a few miles south of our border. (Tweet that!) Others, however, were quick to refute that report claiming it isn't true.

What we do know for sure, though, is that the Shemitah is coming. In his book, after author Jonathan Cahn defines “the Isaiah 9/10 Effect,” he goes into what happened six days after the 9/11 attacks on America. (See “Six Days After,” The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide by Jonathan Cahn page 69.)

You can see a recap what happened on that Shemitah day in 2001 and the next in 2008 in my post "Introduction to the 'Shemitah'."  (Tweet that!)

To learn more as the next Shemitah approaches on September 13, 2015, please join my Shemitah and Partial Solar Eclipse (#BlackSun) Watch Party Event on Facebook. (Tweet that!)

Two weeks after this Shemitah this coming fall on September 13, 2015, the final “Blood Moon” total lunar eclipse takes place on the Feast of Tabernacles, September 28, 2015. We’ll talk more about that in the next post. (Tweet that!)

The Isaiah 9:10 Effect

In Jonathan Cahn's book, The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide, he talks about a "paradoxical or ironic dynamic" about the Bible's prediction in Isaiah 9:10. Mr. Cahn calls this "the Isaiah 9/10 Effect." (Tweet that!) He defines this Isaiah 9/10 Effect as this:
"The attempt of a nation to defy the course of its judgment, apart from repentance, will instead set in motion a chain of events to bring about the very calamity it sought to avert" (page 68).

Notice the author's words "apart from repentance." (Tweet that!)

Repentance means making a u-turn. Repentance means stopping going in one direction, ceasing to do what is wrong, plus turning around and going another direction.

The United States of America is heading straight into this Isaiah 9/10 Effect. (Tweet that!)

We are heading there. Like it or not.

Because there has been no repentance. I see no sign of repentance. Do you?

Can we still be redeemed? Yes.

But will we be redeemed? I see no sign of turning. (Tweet that!)

It could happen in a day.

Could the Actual Numbers of the Bible's Isaiah 9:10 Prophecy have Meaning?

For the past few weeks we've been exploring the prophecy in the Bible verse Isaiah 9:10 and its connection to the events in America on 9/11. I can't help but notice the reference number of the Isaiah verse.

I don't know, it just seems to be shouting to me that 9:10 is a warning that came just before 9/11. What do you think? (Tweet that!)

How do you feel when you hear leaders who do not know God or do not respect or reverence Him enough to study His Word quoting the Bible? (Tweet that!) It makes me perk up. I don't know if I should be nervous or excited because I know God is paying attention. But at the very least it makes me pay attention. (Tweet that!)

Look at Tom Daschle using Isaiah 9:10 in his speech on 9/12. While Senator Daschle thought he was speaking profound words, God was speaking much more profoundly through this man. And Senator Daschle didn't even know it! (Tweet that!)

God was using these leaders. He was using them for His own purposes. Without their knowledge. Unwittingly. (Tweet that!)

And God was doing so in order to tell us something. (Tweet that!)

Only those who are tuned in will hear Him. Only those who are willing to look into it when we hear the Word of God being spoken – no matter who speaks it. (Tweet that!)

What can we learn? Here are a few thoughts:

  1. We must know the Bible. We need to recognize when someone is speaking from it. (Tweet that!)
  2. Then at the very least we must be willing to look into it when we hear someone quoting the Bible. We must be willing to check out the context. (Tweet that!) What is it really saying? Then, what is it saying in the context of the uninformed or ill-informed speaker?
  3. We must be paying attention, engaged, listening. So many people seem to have tuned out. It's time to reengage. (Tweet that!)

Are you engaged? Listening? Checking out what is being said?

Who do you know who needs to be engaged? Could pointing them to this blog help?

The Third Witness: President Barack Obama Repeats Isaiah 9:10 Vow

"Barack Obama addresses joint session of Congress 2009-02-24"
by Pete Souza - http://www.whitehouse.gov/
Licensed under

In the April 30th post here, we witnessed U.S. Senator Tom Daschle quote the vow in Isaiah 9:10 on the floor of the United States Senate on September 12, 2001, the day after September 11th attacks. (Tweet that!)

Then in the May 2 post we saw U.S. Vice Presidential Candidate John Edwards repeat the Bible prophecy in Isaiah 9:10 on the third Anniversary of September 11, 2001. (Tweet that!) In fact, Mr. Edwards built his entire speech around that Bible verse.

The Bible does not recommend that there be only one witness in any matter. Instead it requires a minimum of two witnesses with three being even better. If U.S. Senate leader Tom Daschle was the first witness of America's defiance against God, and if U.S. Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards was the second witness, was there a third? (Tweet that!)

Remember that Isaiah 9:10 in essence refuses to admit that God is giving a warning and instead vows to rebuild and to emerge strong than before the attack. (Tweet that!)

One month after his first inauguration, President Obama appeared on Capitol Hill in the same place where Tom Daschle had spoken the day after 9/11. On February 24, 2009, after the American economic collapse, the President said: (Tweet that!)

But while our economy may be weakened and our confidence shaken, though we are living through difficult and uncertain times, I want every American to know this:
We will rebuild.
We will recover.
And the United States of America will emerge stronger than before.

There Appears a Crack in the Foundation of America

Federal Hall, New York City

Last week we looked at the actual physical, geographical location of where our nation, the United States of America, was founded and we learned that the very place where America was dedicated to the One True God was a little stone church called St. Paul’s Chapel.

That church, which still stands there today, stands on as well as once owned all the land that has become known as Ground Zero of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. (Tweet that!)

But there’s even more. Look at what happened to the "foundation of America" according to Jonathan Cahn in The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide page 115:

It was in Federal Hall, New York City, that the American nation as we know it came into existence. It was on its balcony where Washington was sworn in as the nation’s first president. It was there in its chamber where Washington gave that prophetic warning. Today, in New York City, on Wall Street, facing the New York Stock Exchange, stands a statue of Washington. The inscription on the pedestal reads as follows:

On this site in Federal Hall, April 30, 1789, George Washington took the Oath as the First President of the United States of America

On that founding day, the two sites, Federal Hall and St. Paul’s Chapel (Ground Zero), were joined together. On September 11, 2001, the two sites were joined together again. When the twin towers fell, a shock wave moved from Ground Zero to Federal Hall, putting a crack in its foundation—in America’s foundation—the place where Washington’s prophetic warning was spoken as to what would happen if the nation ever turned away from God.

Do you believe the crack in the foundation of Federal Hall on September 11, 2001, reveals a crack in the foundation of America? (Tweet that!)

Do you receive this as a message and a warning from God?

The Miracle of September 11, 2001: What Was Left Standing

St. Paul's Chapel after 9/11 attacks.
Image found on internet with no credit.
St. Paul's Chapel, a Christian church, owned all the land now known as Ground Zero. (Tweet that!) But that's not all. Here's more:

All around Ground Zero every building was either destroyed or ruined—all except for one. One was protected. It was called "the miracle of 9/11." What was it? It was St. Paul's Chapel, the little stone building in which America was dedicated to God. And why was it protected? There was an object that absorbed the force of the calamity and protected the church. What was it? It was the harbinger, the Sycamore of Ground Zero, the Sixth Harbinger, that shielded the church both from the force of the implosion and the flying wreckage of the falling towers.
From The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide by Jonathan Cahn, page 116.

You can see another amazing image of the dust cloud overwhelming St. Paul's Chapel here: The dust cloud from the collapse of the World Trade Center envelopes St. Paul’s Chapel – New York, NY – Sep 11, 2001

Come back on Tuesday for some more fascinating information about this land where America was founded, once owned by a Christian church, and its connections to the events of September 11, 2001.

America Was Dedicated to God in 1789 at Today's "Ground Zero"

St. Paul's Chapel, New York City

Last post we looked at the first collective act of the newly formed American government was to gather for prayer.

The location of St. Paul's Chapel? You will find this fascinating! Here's more from Jonathan Cahn in The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide page 114:

They gathered to commit America's future to God at the corner of Ground Zero. In fact, the very ground on which the twin towers stood was church land. They dedicated America's future to God in a little stone building, St. Paul's Chapel, which still stands there to this day.
And it was on there, on America's consecration ground, that the Sixth Harbinger, the Sycamore, had grown. It was into that soil that the Erez [Cedar] Tree was planted in place of the fallen tree.
Thus, on the day that America's foundation was laid and the nation's future committed to God's "holy protection," it happened at precisely the place where, on 9/11, His holy protection was, in part, withdrawn.

Please come back for the next post on Saturday to see what happened to St. Paul's Chapel during the attacks of September 11, 2001.

America's First President's First Act: Leading the New Government to a Christian Church for Prayer

St. Paul's Chapel, New York City
By Farragutful (Own work) via Wikimedia Commons
After the new president, George Washington, finished delivering the first presidential address, his first official act was to lead the Senate and the House of Representatives on foot in a procession through the streets of the capital, which was New York City. (Tweet that!) They walked from Federal Hall, the site of the inauguration, to a little stone church: St. Paul's Chapel. (Tweet that!)

This little chapel still stands to this day, which is amazing in itself because of its location and connection to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. (Tweet that!)

Jonathan Cahn wrote this in The Harbinger (page 206):

It stands now much as it did on April 30, 1789, when America's first government entered through its doors. It was here that the nation's first president, Senate, and House of Representatives bowed together in prayer to consecrate the new nation's future into the hands of God. This is the place where the new nation was committed to the Almighty; this is America's ground of consecration.

Of course all of this took place in the new nation's capital. But in 1789, the capital of the United States of America was not Washington, D.C., as it is now. No, back then America's capital was New York City.

In the next post we'll look at the connection between St. Paul's Chapel and the events of September 11, 2001.

Part of George Washington's speech in the first ever presidential address was this:

"No people can be found to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency…
"It would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official act my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that His benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States a Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes." The Day America's First President Was Inaugurated: A Proclamation to Prayer

"Federal Hall front" by Hu Totya - Own work.

How good is your knowledge of American history?

America declared its independence in the year 1776. However it would be several years before that independence became a reality and even more years before the Constitution was written and put in place. (Tweet that!)

America, as we know it – with a president, a Senate, and a House of Representatives – came into existence on April 30, 1789. (Tweet that!)

Here are some interesting quotes from The Harbinger about that day:

"It was the day that the nation's government was completed as set forth in the Constitution, the day America's first president was inaugurated." (The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn, page 199.)

"George Washington Statue at Federal Hall"

This proclamation went forth: (Tweet this!)

"On the morning of the day on which our illustrious President will be invested with his office, the bells will ring at nine o'clock, when the people may go up to the house of God and in a solemn manner commit the new government, with its important train of consequences, to the holy protection and blessing of the Most High. An early hour is prudently fixed for this peculiar act of devotion and is designed wholly for prayer." (The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn, page 202.)

And so our nation was bathed in prayer on that first day of its existence. (Tweet that!)

Governor George Pataki Echoes Vow of Defiance Against God

New York Governor George Patacki and other at
ceremony laying the cornerstone for the
Freedom Tower, July 4, 2004
From Landmarks of Prophetic Truth
Last week we looked at the connections between the words spoken by America's national leaders in the days and anniversaries following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America, and the words spoken by national leaders of Israel in defiance of God quoted in Isaiah 9:10. (Tweet that!

America's leaders have echoed that ancient vow of defiance against God and that's what we've been exploring. (Tweet that!)

But there's more.

Part of America's vow of defiance includes rebuilding the towers that were knocked down. Nearing the third anniversary of the attacks, the cornerstone for the Freedom Tower was laid and celebrated in a ceremony in New York City on July 4, 2004. (Tweet that!)

In his speech, Governor George Pataki reiterated that vow of defiance (Tweet that!) by speaking these words:

"Today, we, the heirs of that revolutionary spirit of defiance, lay this cornerstone…"

U.S. Vice Presidential Candidate John Edwards Quoted Bible Prophecy Verse Isaiah 9:10 in Speech on September 11 Anniversary

John Edwards Pittsburgh 2007" by Mike Murphy (MikeMurphy)
Own work. Licensed under CC BY 3.0 via Wikimedia Commons
This week we've looked at the words American leaders spoke in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. (Tweet that!) Tuesday we saw another comment by then-Senator John Kerry. (Tweet that!) Thursday we witnessed Senate Majority leader Tom Daschle quote Isaiah 9:10 in his speech. (Tweet that!)

Fast forward three years to the third anniversary of the attacks. Again, I'm quoting from The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide by Jonathan Cahn, pages 54-56 (emphasis added):

The date was September 11, 2004. The event was the third anniversary of the 9/11 breach. The speaker was the senator and vice president candidate John Edwards. The place was America's capital city of Washington.

Speaking at a gathering of congressional caucus, Edwards uttered these words:

"Good morning. Today, on this day of remembrance and mourning, we have the Lord's Word to get us through:

The bricks have fallen
But we will rebuild with dressed stones
The sycamores have been cut down
But we will put cedars in their place..."

By quoting Isaiah 9:10, a major American candidate for high office had precisely uttered Israel's ancient vow. He had meant it to be a positive inspiration to the audience. He or presumably his speechwriter didn't read the context. No one realized that in quoting the text, he was unwittingly highlighting America's defiance in response to calamity, following the exact pattern set by Israel’s original defiance revealed in the text. In other words, the utterance joined the Assyrian invasion to 9/11 and America’s post-9/11 defiance to Israel’s defiance in the face of God’s judgment.

Even more amazing, the entire speech delivered that day was built around that same ancient vow. Edwards took the objects of Isaiah 9:10, the sycamore, the cedar or erez tree, and the hewn stone, and used them as figures or symbols of 9/11, America's response to 9/11, and what he believed to be national resurgence…

Intending to deliver an inspiring address, he was unwittingly pronouncing judgment on America.

There is so much more going on here…about the sycamore and cedar (erez) trees, and the hewn stone. If you haven't read one or both books by Jonathan Cahn, I strongly suggest you do so: The Harbinger (presents this material in fiction) and The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide (nonfiction).

Since then…

John Edwards served one six-year term as a Senator from North Carolina. In 2004 he became the Democratic candidate for vice president of the United States with running mate for president Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts. In 2011 Edwards was indicted by a grand jury on six felony charges of violating federal campaign contribution laws to cover up an extramarital affair to which he admitted after his 2008 campaign. He was found not guilty on one count and a mistrial was declared on the remaining charges. Currently John Edwards works at his law firm he started in 2011 with his former partner, David Kirby, and his daughter Cate.
