The "Perfect Storm" is Bringing Bible Prophecy to Pass - Michael Snyder (Video)

"John Paul Jackson Portrait".
Licensed under CC BY 3.0 via Wikipedia
I had not heard of Christian leader and speaker John Paul Jackson before I saw the video I'm including in this post below. I have done a little investigation and learned a few basics about him. I was surprised to learn he passed away last February.

Nevertheless, I found what he has to say interesting and I think you will to, so I'm including a short video that talks about him that was posted about a month ago in October 2015.

When I looked for information about John Paul Jackson on the internet, I found this:
John Paul Jackson, Author
John Paul Jackson was an American author, teacher, conference speaker and founder of Streams Ministries International. Jackson often focused on supernatural topics like dreams, visions, and dream interpretation as found in the Bible. Wikipedia
Born: July 30, 1950, Waxahachie, TX
Died: February 18, 2015
Spouse: Diane Jackson
Since I just learned of him I can't say how much of his teachings I might agree with, but I agree with at least parts of what is predicted in this short video.

I agree that a perfect storm is gathering -- and I'm not talking just the weather, (Tweet that!) I'm talking weather, natural disasters, political, financial, social, religious, and every other way you can think of. I agree that it will be world wide. No human on earth will escape being affected. I get that belief from Matthew 24:21-22:
21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
I agree that our world will be rocked to its foundation. (Tweet that!)

This video mentions professional football being permanently suspended. I don't know about that, but I've often thought that professional sports will soon cease for two reasons: they will implode under the weight of their finances when they can no longer sustain their large payrolls, and also when the world implodes and large events are threatened or attacked by terrorists. Interestingly to me, I wrote the rough draft of this post, including the previous sentence, before the events of last week of the terrorist attacks in Paris that began at the soccer (football) stadium.

The man in this video states others predict the same.

I don't know about a volcano erupting specifically in the Pacific Northwest nor about a massive earthquake down the middle of America dividing our nation geographically, but I do agree massive natural disasters are coming world wide. (Tweet that!)

There's more in this video I found interesting so I think you will too:

What Is Russia Doing In Syria? Does it have to do with Bible Prophecy? - Rick Wiles (Video)

 Patriarc Kirill,
leader of Russian Orthodox Church

Kremlin.ru (CC BY 3.0)
via Wikimedia Commons
In the previous post we watched a short video with Rick Wiles on the Jim Bakker Show talking about the mass migrations taking place from the Middle East to Europe. In another video from the Jim Bakker Show, Rick Wiles talks about Russian's troop movements and what is going on in Syria. (Tweet that!)

Rick Wiles says Russian is warring against ISIS and the United States is on the wrong side of this thing.

He goes on to relate what the Patriarc of a leading Cathedral down the street from the Kremlin said about America:     (Tweet that!)
"The wickedness in America is evidence that the day of Armageddon is drawing near."
(Tweet that!)

Mr. Wiles talks about what America is sowing and predicts other countries are getting ready to deal with what the United States has been doing, quoting the Bible verse Galatians 6:7:
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Rick Wiles says we (that is, America) has been sowing bombs, bloodshed, turmoil, and agony in other countries.

I'm not sure I'm in complete agreement with Rick Wiles for two reasons:

  • Is he saying America should not have gone to war against terrorist Islamics? I would disagree with that. Evil must be fought and beat back relentlessly. Although under the present leadership we are not fighting to actually win that war.
  • Secondly, isn't it possible a leader in Russian, even the leader of a very large and prominent Christian church just down the road from the Kremlin who has the ear of Putin, might have reasons -- such as political reasons -- to speak against America?

So I'm not sure how much to trust Mr. Wiles analysis. Do we believe what he's saying about Russia? Is Russian really on the right side? And could this Patriarc have been making a political statement (like turning people against America) from the pulpit? While I'm unsure what to think about these things, I do think Rick Wiles' message is interesting enough to share with you. Because he could be right.

The Entanglements, Attachments, and Bondages of American Politics

I think many people who hear about the Shemitah view it with much fear. But never forget God is good, kind, and gentle and He only increases the hardship on people when they refuse to acknowledge Him. (Tweet that!) Then He turns up the pressure in order to get their attention and bring them to Himself, which is a further manifestation of His goodness, kindness, and gentleness. (Tweet that!)

Another manifestation of a Shemitah judgment in America author Jonathan Cahn gives in his book, The Mystery of the Shemitah (page 241) is this:
"The judgment will release entanglements, attachments, and bondages within the nation and among the nations."

How might this look in America? The first thing that comes to my mind is our Politics.

In American, politics have become so convoluted they can no longer function. Over the years, some politicians have become so entrench that we will never be able to get them removed. Part of this includes the favors owed to them and the favors they owe. One example is the votes they have promised to give or get on certain issues. This why we can get nothing good done. (Tweet that!)

Many politicians, (dare I say most?) no longer vote for what is good for America or what is best for their constituents. Rather they vote on who owes who favors. It's the trading of "political capital" meaning political power.

What if all this owing and paying was wiped away?  Would this not be a good thing?

Don't misunderstand. I'm not saying it wouldn't be painful for our country. But to wipe clean entanglements, attachments, and bondages within nations would give us a chance to start fresh. And hopefully not make the same mistakes of "borrowing" and "owing" political power. (Tweet that!)

Related to that, at least in my mind, author Jonathan Cahn also notes on page 242 that a Shemitah judgment would...
"…wipe away structure of culture, of systems, of civilization."

I think of our structure of political culture, our political system, and it seems to be to be so entrenched in corruption now that, even though we have good people trying to make inroads, perhaps nothing will be able to make an impact soon enough unless it is wiped clean. (Tweet that!)

What if… God created a hard reset? What if it was time to start over? (Tweet that!)

Does the Shemitah Apply to America? - Part 2

In the previous post, Part 1, we began addressing the question, "Does the Shemitah apply to America?" Continuing, here is another piece of information from Jonathan Cahn's book, The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide, page 88: (Tweet that!)

The greatest collapse of the 2008 economic implosion and the greatest stock market crash in American history happened on September 29, 2008. That day on the biblical calendar was the twenty-ninth day of Elul, the final, crowning day of the Hebrew Shemitah—and the exact day appointed by God for the wiping away of a nation's financial accounts.
The Shemitah revolves around the number seven. So the number seven arises over and over again concerning the economic collapse of 2008. The great collapse happened on the crowning day of the seventh year. It was triggered on Capitol Hill when Congress rejected a $700 billion bailout plan. Seven percent of the market was wiped out. And the number of points wiped away was 777.
In order to trigger all of these "sevens," all of Wall Street, the American and world economies, every economic and financial transaction, had to be an exact position for it all to happen as it did, at the exact time and to that exact number. No human hand could have orchestrated it.
(The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide by Jonathan Cahn, page 88.)

In that first paragraph Mr. Cahn talks about "the twenty-ninth day of Elul." I wrote a post explaining what the 29th of Elul is which you can find here: "When is the Shemitah?"

And the next Shemitah? It's coming this September 13, 2015. (Tweet that!)

Does the Shemitah Apply to America? - Part 1

Does the Shemitah apply to America? (Tweet that!)

In his book The Harbinger Companion with Study Guide on page 85, author Jonathan Cahn addresses this question. He acknowledges that the law of the Shemitah was given to Israel long before America existed.

Also, America has never been obligated to observe a Sabbath year. (Tweet that!)

But then Jonathan Cahn explains that the Shemitah is a biblical "sign of judgment on a nation that has driven God out of its life." (Tweet that!) That describes America…more than most people acknowledge.

While I do not wish to borrow too much from Mr. Cahn's book (which I certainly recommend to you), he is such an excellent teacher and shares so much great information. And I certainly can't explain it more succinctly than he does. So here are a few paragraphs from his book:

Thus, it is the Shemitah as a biblical sign of national judgment in the context of the warning of America that now concerns us.
Behind the crash of Wall Street and the collapse of the American economy lies the mystery of the Shemitah.
In 2008 the collapse of Lehman Brothers and America's economy took place over the course of a week, the anniversary week of 9/11. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac collapsed on September 7 of that year. Two days later Lehman Brothers began its fall, and on September 11, 2008, the stock market took a precipitous plunge.
Exactly seven years separated the two events, the precise biblical period of time that concerns the Shemitah. The economic collapse, from housing to finance, concerned a forced wiping away of the nation's financial accounts—the outward form of the Shemitah. In the case of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government relieved them of debts exceeding $5 trillion. In the case of Lehman Brothers, its bankruptcy wiped away its debts and canceled its loans.
All these events helped trigger a stock market crash, touching the whole world and wiping out all gains over the preceding seven years and then some. The 2008 global economic collapse was one colossal Shemitah, made up of countless smaller ones.

Will the “Framework Agreement” with Iran be the False Peace Treaty in Bible Prophecy?

"Negotiations about Iranian Nuclear Program -
the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Other Officials
of the P5+1 and Ministers of Foreign Affairs
of Iran and EU in Lausanne"
by United States Department of State
Licensed under Public Domain via Wikimedia Commons
I had a friend ask me the other day if the "framework for a deal with Iran," which seems to be coming to be known as the "Framework Agreement," which the Obama Administration has worked out via Secretary of State John Kerry could be the "false peace treaty" in Bible prophecy. (Tweet that!) I had to admit I was kicking myself that I had not thought of that possibility.

Let me explain what my friend was referring to. The Bible speaks of "weeks" which we understand to be "weeks of years," in other words 7-year segments of time. In Daniel 9:20-27 the prophet Daniel saw a vision of the angel Gabriel, whom Daniel had seen and met with before. This time, Gabriel gave Daniel insight and instruction about "seventy sevens." We understand these to be 70 weeks of years.

Then in Daniel 9:25 Gabriel speaks of "seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.'" That totals 69 sevens. Which means there is one more "seven" left: the 70th seven, or one more "week of years," a 7-year period.

There are, of course, different ideas about this, but many (if not most?) scholars believe there was an indeterminate gap of time between the 69th week in Daniel and the 70th week. And this final 70th week of 7 years will be the final 7 years of history on earth as we know it now.

Then Daniel says this about that 70th week of years:

"He [that is the Antichrist] will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." (Daniel 9:27, NIV 1985)

As you can see, there is a covenant with "many." I believe most scholars think this is the Jewish people. I wonder if it isn't the majority of people on the earth?

This covenant is for one seven-year period. But in the middle of this seven – in other words, at the 3½ year point – the Antichrist breaks the covenant. (Tweet that!) This means the Antichrist never really meant for there to be lasting peace and so it was a "false peace." (Tweet that!)

We know the Jewish Temple has been rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem at this point because sacrifices are going on, and that is the only place Jewish sacrifices can take place. (Tweet that!)

Then, in the middle of this seven-year so-called peace deal, the Antichrist puts an end to sacrifice, meaning he stops the Jewish sacrifices going on at the Temple.

When he, the Antichrist, breaks that covenant at the half-way point through the seven years, all hell breaks loose quite literally. The Antichrist sets himself up as God in the Jewish Temple or "on a wing of the temple" and this attempt to usurp God's rightful place as King of kings and Lord of lords is the last straw: the abomination that causes desolation.

So, for prophecy watchers, we are watching for these two things:
  • the Temple to be rebuilt on the Temple Mount where sacrifices resume for the first time since 70 A.D., and
  • the start of a “peace” deal which we know will be killed after 3½ years.

So the question is, could this so-called deal with Iran that the United States and other nations are painfully claiming to be negotiating with Iran be that Biblically prophesied false peace deal? And furthermore, considering the previous post, I’m wondering might this "peace deal" be made on the 9th of Av? (Tweet that!) It's something to watch.

2015 Amazing Worldwide Event #4 Linked to Bible Prophecy: The Coming Fourth Lunar Eclipse in September

The fourth and final amazing worldwide event linked to Bible prophecy that we can foresee coming in 2015 is the fourth and final total lunar eclipse of the 2014 – 2015 tetrad. (Tweet that!)

This total lunar eclipse will occur on September 28, 2015, the Feast of Tabernacles, only two weeks after the Shemitah. (Tweet that!) I wonder what the world will look like at that point? I do expect major events to occur on the Shemitah, or perhaps before.

Am I foolish in openly predicting such a thing? I don't think so. I'm not the one predicting it. God is writing in the skies where EVERYONE can see -- whether or not they have a Bible, a TV, internet, or can read a blog like this one. (Tweet that!) God is shouting through all of these signs -- signs in the sun and moon and more. (Tweet that!) So will I be put to shame if my prediction doesn't come true? (Tweet that!) I don't believe I'll be put to shame on that.

For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame” (Romans 10:11).

If you missed the introductory discuss of the Shemitah in my previous post two days ago, find it here: The Coming Shemitah in September.

You can learn more right now about why all these lunar eclipses occurring on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles two years in a row are important from our discussions during the first two total lunar eclipses in these posts. The videos with expert Jonathan Cahn that are titled "After the Lunar Eclipse" were recorded after the first total lunar eclipse which occurred on Passover last spring on April 15, 2014.

We will discuss this fourth total lunar eclipse coming in September in future posts. In fact, we will talk more about the next total lunar eclipse, the third in the tetrad, coming in April next week, so please stop back by and bring a friend.

How the United States of America is Like First-Century Israel in the Bible

The White House
Public Domain Images
As I wrote my previous post, "Lawlessness" in Bible Prophecy: Are We Seeing It Now?, it occurred to me how much we, here in the United States, are like that first-century crowd  in Israel who witnessed the first coming of Jesus.

So many people in our day see the problems facing our world and the devastation that is coming. In the United States we see the wrong-doing and the wrong choices being made and forced upon us by those in leadership in our nation. (Tweet that!)

We know that the United States of America is not too big to fail. (Tweet that!)

We are desperate for solutions. We know the solutions--moving back towards the one true God of the Bible, His way of doing things, and honoring Him in our nation--and yet we are helpless to carry out any such ideas because most of those in leadership insist on going their own way, on not listening to the people, on forcing wrong policies on us. We do have some good people in leadership, but they are too few, even when they band together, to overcome the majority who are taking us in the wrong direction.

As so what do we do? We look forward to the next election. We hope that the next election will remove more of those who are leading our country in the wrong direction and will put into places of leadership and power more people who will lead us in a right direction.

But we have been trying to correct the course our country is on for several elections now, and while we may make progress, it has not yet been enough to make a difference in the direction our nation is moving in between those elections.

Our elections of our political leaders are too few and too far in between, while meanwhile decisions are being made every week or every day that take us farther down the wrong path.

We are looking for a political solution to our problems.

This is exactly what the first-century people in Israel were doing the first time Jesus came. They expected Jesus to be a political leader who would deliver them from the occupying forces of Rome and their Roman oppressors.

Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself. (John 6:15, ESV)

Don't get me wrong. Please! I am so very grateful for the hard work of those who run for office and campaign so hard to win in order to become our leaders who will turn this country back toward the right course.

I am also so very grateful for those conservative commentators who work so hard to education the people and make a difference in our county.

I believe history will honor men like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity for their extraordinary efforts to make a positive difference in the United States of America.

However, as I watch them and listen, and as I watch our elections, I am reminded of their past campaigns such as Sean Hannity's "Defeat Obama Express" and Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos." And yet despite all their efforts, President Obama still won the election. Again.

So what does this say? To me it says we will not find a political solution.

So what are we to think about these men and their efforts? I believe these conservative commentators are doing a remarkable job that must be done. (And these are only two examples of many men and women who are doing similar work.) They are talking about what is wrong with our nation, and because of them in the end there will be no excuse for anyone not knowing what was going on, what was wrong, and what could have been done to make it right. (Tweet that!) In a very real sense, they are doing God's work.

But at the same time, I don't believe there will be a political solution to the problems facing America. I don't believe we will be able to wait for enough elections to replace those leading us in a wrong direction with those who would lead is in a right direction.

I believe it's all too little and too late. I believe we're already over the cliff; it's just going to take us a while to hit the bottom. Yes, I'm pretty pessimistic about the future of the United States of America.

That's probably why political commentators don't talk about Bible prophecy. That's probably also why I wouldn't make a good talk show host. (Tweet that!)

To those who are doing such work, whether in political commentary or in running for office, please keep on. Keep working. Don't ever give up. We need you. I need you. Keep on doing good. Keep on calling out wrong, promoting right, and defining the difference. (Tweet that!)

In the end, we need to know that everything that possibly could be done to redirect our nation onto a right path, right in God's sight, has been done. That's important. (Tweet that!)

But in the end, the Bible prophecies will be fulfilled. So whether that comes sooner or later, whatever happens in or to the United States of America, the ultimate answer is not in politics but in individuals and national leaders looking to and following the Lord Jesus Christ.

What Does the Bible Say About When America Speaks Against Israel? (Video Post)

What happens when America turns against or speaks against Israel?

What happens when any nation, people, or person, turns or speaks out against Israel? (Tweet that!)

Genesis 12:3 gives this promise from God, right from the beginning of the Bible:
I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse...

Did you know that only a few weeks ago, leaders in America, meaning President Obama's administration, publicly rebuked Israel for building settlements on its own land? (Tweet that!)

In return, Israel's leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, rebuked American saying this criticism of Israel is "against the American values." (Tweet that!)

I believe it is written in prophecy, meaning it is written in the future history of the world, that all nations, including America, will turn against Israel. But God will supernaturally protect Israel. (Tweet that!)

When we, whether as individuals or as a nation, turn against Israel, we are on the wrong side of history and are in great danger of judgment from God. (Tweet that!)

But as individuals, we can support Israel and pray for the peace and protection of Israel, no matter what our nation or our leaders do. (Tweet that!)
