Another "Blood Moon" Total Lunar Eclipse Took Place Last Night for Purim (Video Post)

Lance Wallnau image from Youtube
Another "Blood Moon" total lunar eclipse took place last night. We are currently in the midst of the Jewish holy days of Purim. (Tweet that!)

It looks like the total lunar eclipse was visible mostly over Europe and Africa, not here in the United States.

I've been watching the beautiful full moon the last few days and thinking of the four eclipses the last two years, but this eclipse was news to me. (Tweet that!) A friend sent me this video. It's from Lance Wallnau, whom I had not heard of before, but you can bet I'll be looking into him.

This video runs about 23 minutes. (Warning and disclaimer: about the last 3 minutes are advertising for his training and trips. I'm not endorsing that.)

Purim is the remembrance and celebration of how God saved the Jewish people from the evil plot of Haman told in the Bible's book of Esther. Purim is not one of the 7 Feasts of the LORD (which my newest e-book teaches about) which were instituted in the time of Moses, but is an additional holiday instituted in the time of Esther and Mordecai (much like Hanukkah was given in the "time between the Testaments" during the time of the Maccabees.)

Here is a new site I found with information on coming lunar eclipses:

My thanks to Angela for alerting me to this "Blood Moon" total lunar eclipse on Purim and sending the video!!

(Update 6/10/20: Video no longer available.)

During Week Prior to Final Blood Moon Muslims, Jews, Christians Each Gather By Hundreds of Thousands (Video)

Muslim Hajj 2015
This past week images of the three major religions in the world have dominated the news media as each held extremely large gatherings just days before the fourth and final Blood Moon on the Jewish holy day of the Feast of Tabernacles (or Sukkot). (Tweet that!)

Muslims Gather for Hajj at Mecca, Saudia Arabia

Millions of Muslims embarked on the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca every Muslim male who is able is required to do at least once in their lives. (Tweet that!) Unfortunately there were two tragedies during this Hajj: A crane fell into a crowd killing over 100 people on September 12, 2015. Then on September 24th many Muslim pilgrims stampeded, killing hundreds. At first the dead counted beyond 700. Yesterday news reports said the number dead  in the human stampede at the Muslim Hajj climbed to over 1,100.

Jews Gather for Yom Kippur in Jerusalem, Israel

Tens of thousands of Israelis attend the communal repentance prayer at the Western Wall on Monday, September 21, 2015. (Tweet that!) This was the last repentance prayer before Yom Kippur, that is the Day of Atonement, 2015. You can see and hear them singing in this video:

Catholic Christians Gather as Pope Francis Visits the United States

Then Pope Francis left Cuba and arrived in the United States on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. He was welcomed by President Barack Obama in Washington D.C. on Wednesday September 23rd. Hundreds of thousands of Catholics turned out to see him as he visited Washington, New York, and Philadelphia, leaving to return to Rome on Sunday, September 27th, just hours before the fourth Blood Moon (of this tetrad) occurred just after sunset that evening. (Tweet that!)

It has been an amazing week of religious events throughout the world, involving the three largest religions in the world. It's as if God is writing Himself into the headlines. (Tweet that!

The Importance to America of the Coming Shemitah Falling on a Sunday - Part 2

The Shemitah 2015 falls on
a Sunday: September 13th.
In the previous post, Part 1, we talked about how this next coming Shemitah on September 13, 2015, falls on a Sunday and how that surprised me. The first reason I find that surprising is because the most notable events that have happened on the previous two Shemitahs was the fall of the stock market and yet the American stock market is closed on Sunday.

But even though the Shemitah falling on a Sunday surprised me, it did not surprise God. (Tweet that!)

Reason #2: God knew it would be Sunday

When I discovered the Shemitah will fall on a Sunday, it really got me thinking. Why would God schedule the Shemitah to fall on a Sunday? (Tweet that!)

So if we're seeing a pattern develop, if God is teaching us, if we are to take what we learn and apply it so we can look forward and predict what might happen next, then having the Shemitah on a Sunday when the stock market is closed seems to throw a wrench into that whole process. (Tweet that!) Or He is stretching us to grasp the next point He wants to make.

But nevertheless, when you really think about it, God must have scheduled it like this on purpose. Why do I say that? Because the God of the universe can do that. He is able. He can look that far forward in time and perfectly schedule out when everything will occur.

So this coming Shemitah falling on a Sunday is certainly no coincidence. It was perfectly planned and scheduled. So what might God be telling us? (Tweet that!) I have some ideas I'll share in the next post.

Can this Date be Biblically Prophetic? Important Events in Jewish History on the 9th of Av

"Negotiations about Iranian Nuclear Program -
the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Other Officials
of the P5+1 and Ministers of Foreign Affairs
of Iran and EU in Lausanne"
by United States Department of State
Licensed under Public Domain via Wikimedia Commons
In the previous post we looked at the date when Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, spoke to the joint session of the United States Congress. He gave this speech, which was against the deal the U.S. is working out with Iran to allow Iran to create nuclear weapons, on the eve of Purim. Mr. Netanyahu is concern Iran will use their nuclear weapons against Israel and it's a certainty that they will because they have said as much and there is no reason to disbelieve they will do exactly as they threaten.

I believe it's significant that Mr. Netanyahu's speech was given on the eve of Purim. (Tweet that!) The One True God reveals His wisdom and speaks to us in patterns. (Tweet that!) And as we've watched the past three "Blood Moons" on important Jewish Feast days occur over the past year, we can notice, if we're paying attention, that the Lord God has planned and timed these events to coincide with what He foreknew would be occurring on earth. (Tweet that!

Purim was when the enemies of Israel plotted to wipe Israel off the face of the earth in the time of Queen Esther, 474 B.C. The Prime Minister's speech to the U.S. about the U.S.'s coming nuclear agreements with Iran was on the eve of Purim (Tweet that!) and I believe also on the eve of significant worldwide events occurring concerning Iran attempting to carry out its threats against Israel with the cooperation of the United States. (Tweet that!)

If dates are in fact prophetic, meaning we can see a pattern in history of important events occurring on the same date (on the Jewish calendar), then my question is, can we take an educated guess that something significant might occur on this date in the future? (Tweet that!)

Here are three examples: (Tweet that!)

The Total Lunar "Blood Moon" Eclipses On Jewish Holy Days

If you've been following this blog or the series of four "Blood Moons" you know we are experiencing a series of four total lunar eclipses on significant dates on the Jewish calendar. Those dates are the first and last of the seven annual feasts – Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles – in both 2014 and 2015. In the past, significant events occurred in Israel's history around those times. Learn more here:

The Financial Happenings on Past Shemitahs

If you've been following this blog, then you also know about the Shemitah that comes every seven years, which we will talk about more as it approaches on September 13, 2015. (Tweet that!) Major financial falls have occurred in the United States which rippled worldwide on the previous two Shemitahs in 2001, just after the attacks of 9/11, and again in 2008. Some are already speculating what may occur this coming fall. Learn more here:

The 9th of Av

"Av" is the fifth month on the Jewish religious calendar and matches up approximately with July/August on our calendar. On the 9th day of Av, significant occurrences have taken place in Israel's history including the following. (Tweet that!):

  • According to Jewish history, it was on the 9th of Av that the ten spies, not counting Joshua and Caleb, which Moses sent to search out the Promised Land gave their bad report to Moses which caused the Israelites to refuse to enter the land God promised to them, resulting in them wandering the wilderness for forty years until that generation died off before entering the Land under Joshua's leadership.
  • It was on the 9th of Av that the first Jewish Temple, that is Solomon's Temple, was looted and burned by the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. (Note my Bible says, "On the seventh day of the fifth month…" (2 Kings 24:8). That was August 14, 586 B.C. Jeremiah 52:12 records it as "the tenth day of the fifth month…" A note in the NIV Study Bible explains the difference this way: "The parallel in 2 Ki 25:8 reads 'seventh day'; one of the numbers is a copyist's error, but we cannot tell which." See 2 Chronicles 36:15-21, 2 Kings 25:1-21, Jeremiah 52:4-27.)
  • Significantly, the second Temple was also destroyed on the 9th of Av in 70 A.D. by the Romans under Titus. This occurred some 40 years after Jesus' death and resurrection and fulfilled the Bible prophecy spoken by Jesus himself in Matthew 24:2.
  • King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella expelled the Jews from Spain on the 9th of Av in 1492.

So my question is, Could something prophetically significant happen to Israel on the 9th of Av in soon-coming years? Even in 2015? (Tweet that!) On our calendar, the 9th of Av in 2015 takes place from the evening of July 24 to the evening of July 25, 2015.

Thoughts Following Blood Moon #3 -- Plus Easter Moments Countdown Day 1

Dates of Four Total Lunar Eclipses
plus the central Solar Eclipse
of 2014 and 2015
Early this morning the earth is witnessing the 3rd of the four total lunar eclipses which have been "nicknamed" or called the Blood Moons. I hope you were able to see it wherever you are.

I'm writing this post in advance so it will post early in the morning, actually even before the end of the eclipse, although for many of us the moon will set behind the horizon before it's over so we can't see the end of the eclipse.

My prayer is that this has been a beautiful event for you, spiritually significant and personally memorable. (Tweet that!)

As you know, today is Passover, a significant holiday for the Jewish people. I wish you a blessed Passover.

For Christians, yesterday was "Good Friday," when the Christian church remembers the crucifixion of Jesus the Christ. Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. This "Blood Moon" is sandwiched in between those two important dates on the Christian calendar. (Tweet that!) I wish you a blessed Easter.

God is as work. He is working in this world and in each of our lives, calling us to recognize His sovereignty, to remember Him, to call upon Him, to thank Him for His mercy, grace, and work on our behalf. (Tweet that!)

Some additional resources you may enjoy:

Here is information about the next total lunar eclipse coming our way. This will be the 4th and final eclipse of the current tetrad. (Tweet that!)

As you can guess, I'll be talking about the fourth and final total lunar eclipse of this tetrad here. And I've already created a Facebook Event for this eclipse coming next September 28, 2015. Please join this event now so you won't miss anything or forget. Simply click this link and then choose "Going."

This is an article I wrote earlier on my thoughts about what might happen on the Shemitah later this year and what life might be like afterwards:

I've also already created a Facebook Event for the coming Shemitah. You can learn all about what that is at this event. (Also through articles I've already posted on this blog. Please do a search for that word if you're interested in learning more now.) This event occurs BEFORE the next lunar eclipse -- only about two weeks before. Please also join the Shemitah Watch event by clicking this link and then choosing "Going."

Again, here is my informational brochure for you to print and share, or share electronically by posting it on your social media sites:

Have a very happy Easter. He is alive! Celebrate! I'll see you next week when we'll talk more about what's going on in the world and how we might be seeing Bible prophecies fulfilled right before our very eyes.

Natural Phenomena that Cause the Moon to Appear Red and Tips for Viewing the 3rd Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse -- Plus Easter Moments Countdown Days 3 & 2

Dates of Four Total Lunar Eclipses
plus the central Solar Eclipse
of 2014 and 2015
Since we've been observing this series of four (tetrad) total lunar eclipses, I've heard some people saying these cannot be the "blood moons" mentioned in the Bible because the moon is appearing red under natural circumstances. (Tweet that!) They say that the Biblically prophesied "blood moons" will be something miraculous from the hand of God. I say that's a bunch of hooey. (Tweet that!) Why couldn't the blood moons in the Bible be caused by natural circumstances? (Tweet that!) I see no reason why they couldn't be red moons caused by natural reasons.

Clearly the Lord God who created the heavens and the earth, Who set the moon in the sky and Who set the times and knew with perfect foreknowledge when lunar eclipses would occur because He set up the whole system, could have and did know these lunar eclipses would be occurring on these dates in our lifetimes. (Tweet that!) This is not a problem for Him.

He is also the One Who mandated when the Feasts of the LORD would be -- on what dates on the Jewish calendar. (Tweet that!) He also foreknew with perfect foresight that those total lunar eclipses on His Feasts of the LORD would coincide with happenings on the earth in our day. (Tweet that!) This is not a problem for Him.

So some people using the fact that this is a "natural" way the moon turns red as evidence that this is not the hand of God nor the Biblically prophesied "blood moons" that are to come before the day of the Lord (the Lord Jesus' return) simply is not convincing me.  (Tweet that!)

What do you think?

The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. Joel 2:31

Here are some trivia questions:

How many natural causes are there for the moon to appear red? (Tweet that!)

What are the causes in nature that make the moon appear red? (Tweet that!)

Tips for Viewing this Total Lunar Eclipse:

I learned a few things while viewing the first of these four total lunar eclipses last April. I wrote about what I learned and gave some tips before the second eclipse last October. Here are those tips for you to review. I'm going to review them also so I don't forget what I learned! (Tweet that!)

Final Reminder:

This Saturday's Total Lunar Eclipse -- Blood Moon #3 -- will occur in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 4th. Don't miss it! You'll have to get up early to see it. (Tweet that!)

If you haven't yet, please join my Event on Facebook for more reminders, discussion, links to articles and information, and more:

Learn How the Jewish Calendar Works Into this Tetrad of Lunar Eclipses and Tetrad History -- Plus Easter Moments Countdown Days 5 & 4

Dates of Four Total Lunar Eclipses
plus the central Solar Eclipse
of 2014 and 2015
I've written extensively about these four lunar eclipses on Jewish holy days on this blog. (Tweet that!) Today let's review some of these previous posts because I think you'll find that information fascinating. (Tweet that!)

I explored how the Jewish calendar works. This is important in understanding how the Jewish calendar plays into these total lunar eclipses falling on those Jewish "Feasts of the LORD" or Jewish holy days. (Tweet that!)

In an article on the day before the very first of the four total lunar eclipses, I reviewed what happened in history in the times surrounding previous tetrads, (Tweet that!)

Would you like to use this event to reach out to neighbors, friends, or family members in order to start a conversation about the important things of God, the Bible, and Jesus Christ? If yes, you can find some ideas for ways to make that happen here:

Here is a printable brochure (PDF) of information about these four lunar eclipses and the seven Feasts of the Lord on which they are falling:

I hope you've enjoyed reviewing all this fascinating information. In the next post we'll review some science behind lunar eclipses and several different happenings that can cause the moon to appear red.

Is it a Total or a Partial Lunar Eclipse and Why that Distinction is Important -- Plus Easter Moments Countdown Days 7 & 6

Dates of Four Total Lunar Eclipses
plus the central Solar Eclipse
of 2014 and 2015
I've noticed a change! Previously Time and Date.com was calling this a partial lunar eclipse. They have changed their heading and are now calling this a total lunar eclipse. That distinction is important. (Tweet that!) Here's why:

These lunar eclipses are spiritually, prophetically, and Biblically important because they are a tetrad. (Tweet that!) A tetrad is defined as:

  • four total lunar eclipses in a row without any partial lunar eclipses falling in between them. (Tweet that!)

If this lunar eclipse #3 is only a partial eclipse, that would be extremely important because that would mean this is not a tetrad. (Tweet that!)

Lunar eclipses are not rare. Of course tetrads, a series of four total lunar eclipses with no partials in between, are more rare. (Tweet that!)

This tetrad is even more rare because each total lunar eclipse in this tetrad is falling either the first or the last of the seven Jewish holy feast days God gave the Jewish people in the Old Testament (that is, Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles also known as Sukkot). (Tweet that!) And they are falling on those Jewish holidays two years in a row.

Time and Date.com has changed it's label for this eclipse from "Partial" to "Total" in its heading. It also gives this note:

(*) Eclipses with a short totality may be labelled wrongly as partial. We are working on a solution.
When Time and Date.com was calling this a partial lunar eclipse, I wrote more about it here:

Come back next Tuesday and we'll learn more as we gear up for this coming total lunar eclipse which is being called the third Blood Moon. Meanwhile, be thinking about who you might invite to join you in observing this spring celestial event. (Tweet that!) A friend via the Facebook Lunar Eclipse Watch Party? (Tweet that!) Or a neighbor during the eclipse in your backyard?

What Time and Where in the Sky to See the April 4 Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon #3) -- Plus Easter Moments Countdown Days 9 & 8

Dates of Four Total Lunar Eclipses
plus the central Solar Eclipse
of 2014 and 2015
I'm sure the first question on your mind is where in your sky and when, as in the hours, you'll be able to see the 3rd "Blood Moon" total lunar eclipse coming early the morning of April 4, 2015.

Who can see it?

At least some of this lunar eclipse will be visible in most of North America, South America, Asia and parts of Australia. (Tweet that!) Depending on where you are, you will see:

  • Alaska, most of you will be able to see 100% of this eclipse from start to finish.
  • Far western U.S. and Canada will see more than 75% of the event.
  • Mid-west America (from approximately the Mississippi River westerly) and Canada, you'll see less that 75% but more than 50% of this eclipse. In my area, for example, the moon will set behind the western horizon before the eclipse ends, so I won't be able to see the big finish.
  • Eastern approximately one third of the U.S. and Canada, as well as most of South America, will see less than 50%.
For more precise details, and for locations in Asia, Australia, and Russia, you can find a map with what you'll see, plus tons more information, here:  (Tweet that!)

What time will the eclipse appear?

To learn what time the eclipse will begin and end in the skies over your neighborhood, you can enter your city in the box called "Eclipses visible from your city" on that same Time and Date site. (Tweet that!)

How long will this lunar eclipse last?

The moon will be in the totality phase, meaning totally eclipsed, for approximately five minutes. From start to finish this eclipse will last 3 hours and 29 minutes. (Tweet that!)

You can compare the length of this eclipse with the 4th Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse coming in September 2015 in this article I wrote earlier this year:

Lunar Eclipse Trivia:

Did you know a lunar eclipse can only take place on a full moon? (Tweet that!)

And did you know that on the Jewish calendar the first of the month is always on a new moon (no moon visible) and therefore the 15th of the month is always on a full moon?

We've discussed these things in more detail here on the blog in previous posts. You can learn more in this one:

If you've been following the Blood Moons or this blog you know I'm fascinated by this current tetrad of four total lunar eclipses because they are falling on Jewish holy days, namely Passover (in the spring) and the Feast of Tabernacles, also called Sukkot (in the fall). (Tweet that!)

Obviously, then, Passover and Sukkot always fall on the 15th of the month on the Jewish calendar. That's the only way we could have lunar eclipses on these Jewish holidays -- if they were always on the 15th of the month. (Tweet that!)

You can learn more in my comments leading up to Blood Moon #2 last fall here:

Looking Forward to the 3rd of the 4 Total Lunar Eclipses Coming Early April 4th -- Plus Easter Moments Countdown Days 11 & 10

Dates of Four Total Lunar Eclipses
plus the central Solar Eclipse
of 2014 and 2015
I hope you enjoyed last week's discussion leading up to the solar eclipse event on March 20, 2015. With that now behind us, it's time to turn our attention to the next major celestial event, the 3rd of the four total lunar eclipses (being calling the "Blood Moons" by many) occurring on major Jewish holidays (Feasts of the LORD). (Tweet that!) This next event is coming quickly on the heels of last Friday's solar eclipse. The next total lunar eclipse will occur in only 11 days, that is in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 4th, 2015. (Tweet that!)

Note also that the day of this total lunar eclipse is Passover on the Jewish calendar. (Tweet that!) And it's no coincidence that Easter follows on the next day since the Christian Easter is based off the Jewish Passover. (Easter Sunday is scheduled on the Sunday closest to the full moon of Passover.) (Tweet that!)

So for these next two weeks we'll look forward to and get excited about this upcoming "Blood Moon" #3. (Tweet that!)

We have five more posts  up to and including the April 4th post. My plan here is to use these posts to share information and links to articles about this and the other lunar eclipses. This will include discussions of the science behind lunar eclipses as well as articles about the Biblical and prophetic connections. Please invite a friend to join us by visiting these posts. Please also use the share buttons below to share these articles to your social media contacts.

Would you like to stay up to date on this 3rd of the tetrad of four total lunar eclipses by receiving reminders and articles like this one posted in one convenient location? I created a Facebook event for this purpose. It's also a great way to find links to all this information. It's also a great place to share with your friends and family so you can have a conversation with them about these events. (Tweet that!)

As always my desire is to educate as many people as I can reach and to point them to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Tweet that!) It's also my desire to equip you with information for your own interest as well as to give you easy ways to share that information with people you want discuss these things with. (Tweet that!)

Here's where to find that Facebook Event:

So I hope you're looking forward to these next to weeks' discussions as much as I am!

Is the Next Lunar Eclipse in April 2015 a Partial or Total? - Amazing Worldwide Event #2 Linked to Bible Prophecy

I was surprised when I went looking for information about the coming lunar eclipse on April 4, 2015, that is linked to Bible prophecy because I discovered it is sometimes being called a partial eclipse. (Tweet that!)

As we've discussed before, these lunar eclipses are spiritually, prophetically, and Biblically important because they are a tetrad falling on the first and last of the seven Jewish holy feast days (that is, Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles) two years in a row. A tetrad is defined as four total lunar eclipses in a row without any partial lunar eclipses falling in between them.

Therefore if this #3 eclipse is only a partial eclipse, that would be extremely important information because that would mean this is not actually a tetrad or series of four total lunar eclipses. (Tweet that!)

Furthermore, if this were only a partial eclipse then it would not be a total lunar eclipse on Passover.(Tweet that!)

On this topic, the TimeAndDate.com site gives this explanation on why the site is calling this a partial lunar eclipse in some of its material:

(*) Total eclipses with a very short period of totality and partial eclipses that come close to reaching totality may be labelled wrongly or inconsistently as total or partial eclipses. We are aware of this problem and are working on a solution.

While in the heading of the TimeAndDate.com article the April 4, 2015, event is called a "partial lunar eclipse," the article itself calls it a "total lunar eclipse."

This eclipse will last for 3 hours and 29 minutes from beginning to end. The moon will be totally eclipsed (the totality) for about 5 minutes. (Tweet that!)

Where to See the 3rd Lunar Eclipse in April - Amazing Worldwide Event #2 Linked to Bible Prophecy

In the January 13th post, we talked about 2015's Amazing Worldwide Event #2 Linked to Bible Prophecy: The Coming Third Lunar Eclipse in April. We will take a closer look at this event in three posts this week.

This lunar eclipse will take place on the Jewish feast of Passover, which makes it very significant spiritually and prophetically in light of Bible prophecy. (Tweet that!)

As this eclipse approaches and you make your plans to watch it, be sure to remember that the Jewish day is counted from sundown to sundown, which means the eclipse will be in the early morning hours of the April 4 (not the evening of April 4). (Tweet that!)

This eclipse will not be visible everywhere in the world. I call it a “worldwide event” because it is important, prophetically, to the whole world regardless of whether or not you can see it from where you are the morning of April 4, 2015. (Tweet that!) This eclipse will be visible in much of Asia, Australia, much of North America and South America, and the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, and Antarctica.

You can learn more about this third total lunar eclipse of this tetrad (series of four) on the following site. (Tweet that!)You can also learn what you will be able to see and at what time by entering your location on this site:

Come back on Thursday for more interesting information about this third lunar eclipse in April linked to Bible prophecy.

Currently we're viewing several video interviews with Bible teacher Pastor Mark Biltz about the Blood Moons. (Tweet that!) If you missed the first interview, you can see that in the previous post.

In this video you will hear Mark Biltz talk about solar eclipses. (Tweet that!) Then next solar eclipse will occur on March 20, 2015. (Tweet that!)

If you would like to stay tuned in to that event and receive reminders, notices of articles, and more information, please visit my Facebook Events page and click "Going." (Tweet that!)

Please also share this event with your Facebook contacts. You can do that by using the "Invite" drop-down menu just to the right of the "Going" button.

In this next part of this video interview Pastor Biltz also explains more about the "Blood Moon" lunar eclipses. This is the man who "discovered" these eclipses and their
correlation to the Jewish Feasts of the LORD back in 2008 and has taught extensively about them, so this is a great overview from him. (Tweet that!)

Also, realize this interview was posted on March 15, 2014. Note that this was before the first lunar eclipse ("Blood Moon") which occurred on April 15, 2014. (Tweet that!)

Mark Biltz teaches "An Introduction to the Blood Moons" (Video Post)

Since I had difficulty finding an
image of Mark Biltz, here's an
image of his book instead.
Yesterday was Columbus Day. In recent years protests over Americans observing this day has escalated. I find this extremely interesting now that I know about the tetrads of Blood Moons and the information about Columbus sailing to the New World in light of what was happening to the Jewish people in Spain at the time he sailed. In fact, the Nina, the Pinta, and Santa Marie were filled with Jewish people who were being expelled from Spain by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. (Tweet that!) Not only that, Columbus' trip was financed by the Jews! Not only that, did you know Columbus was Jewish himself?! (Tweet that!) You can hear more about that in today's video.

As I've mentioned before, I've learned most of what I know about the Feasts of the LORD and the "Blood Moons" from the teachings of Mark Biltz.

I first heard of him on Southwest Radio Church back in 2008 when he was teaching on the Feasts of the LORD. I had heard of the Feasts decades earlier and wanted to know about more. I had also heard that these Feasts are prophetic of, and fulfilled by, Jesus. As a self-proclaimed prophecy geek, I definitely wanted to know more about that. (Tweet that!) I had searched for more information but could not find it. (This was way before the days of the internet!)

But I kept my ear to the ground waiting and watching for information on these things that interested me. This is why, when I heard Mark Biltz that day on the radio, I was so interested. I immediately bought his DVD set and began studying. Obviously I was not the only Christian for whom God had whispered to our hearts that He wanted us to study this information. This is why Mark Biltz has become so popular as a teacher, speaker, and author. There is a hunger among many Christians for information on how the Old Testament informs the New. This hunger is God-designed and instigated, and the excitement of "newly revealed" (Tweet that!) information is catching on and bringing that same excitement to many other Christians...and nonChristians too.

It's not really "new." And it's not really "just revealed." This information has been there ever since the Old Testament was given and written, starting in the days of Moses. But now we are understanding what it all means, what has been waiting for us all along! (Tweet that!)

So here is the first of several video interviews with Pastor Mark Biltz about the four Blood Moons. (Tweet that!) This interview was posted March 14, 2014, which was before the first Blood Moon of April 15, 2014.
