Governor George Pataki Echoes Vow of Defiance Against God

Last week we looked at the connections between the words spoken by America's national leaders in the days and anniversaries following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America, and the words spoken by national leaders of Israel in defiance of God quoted in Isaiah 9:10. (Tweet that!

America's leaders have echoed that ancient vow of defiance against God and that's what we've been exploring. (Tweet that!)

But there's more.

Part of America's vow of defiance includes rebuilding the towers that were knocked down. Nearing the third anniversary of the attacks, the cornerstone for the Freedom Tower was laid and celebrated in a ceremony in New York City on July 4, 2004. (Tweet that!)

In his speech, Governor George Pataki reiterated that vow of defiance (Tweet that!) by speaking these words:

"Today, we, the heirs of that revolutionary spirit of defiance, lay this cornerstone…"
