Israel turns 70 years old in 2018 - Signs in Bible Prophecy Must Be Significant (Video Post)

For many years, I have looked at the year Bible prophecy was fulfilled as Israel once again became a nation - 1948 - along with the Scripture verse that says a "generation" is 70 years, and I have strongly believed something significant would happen in the world as Israel turned 70 years old. (Tweet that!)

The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years... (Psalm 90:10a, NKJV)

Combine those ideas with Jesus' prophetic words in Matthew 24:

Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. (Matthew 24:33-34, NIV 1984)

In past decades, Israel's 70th birthday seemed so far in the future. Not so any more.  (Tweet that!)

Israel was reborn in 1948, so it will turn 70 years old in 2018. (Tweet that!)

Suddenly I'm hearing other people express the same thoughts: connecting these same Scriptures. Talking about something significant happening as Israel turns 70.  Connecting End Times with Israel's 70th birthday and the generation that "will certainly not pass away until..." (Tweet that!)

Here is a video of Pastor Jim Bakker talking with author John Shorey. I'll admit I haven't been familiar with John Shorey, but I find what he has to say very interesting.

Take note not only of what he says about Israel nearing its 70th birthday, but also about:

As John Shorey asks, how can all these signs in Bible prophecy show up at the same time and they not have significance? (Tweet that!)

In the next post we'll hear more from John Shorey in another video.

  1. Daniel’s 70 Feasts of Weeks Prophecy
    Chapter 9:24-27

Daniels 70 (Feasts of) weeks prophecy is dealing with the last 70 years of the “Times of the Gentiles” (1947 CE – 2017 CE).

The UN commandment to rebuild “Jerusalem” was given at November 29, 1947.

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks (70 Feasts of weeks = 70 years, see Leviticus 23:15) are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and
    to anoint the most Holy. (Oct/Nov 1947 - Oct/Nov 2017)

Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem (Nov 29, 1947) unto the Messiah* (Messiah = anointed one) the Prince shall be 7 weeks and 62 weeks (69 years): the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times (1947 CE + 7 years + 62 years = Oct/Nov 2016).

Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks (1947 CE + 7 years + 62 years= Oct/Nov 2016) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself (the 2 Witnesses of Christ instead): and the people of the prince (Antichrist) that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Daniel 9:27 And he (the Antichrist) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (Oct/Nov 2016 – Oct/Nov 2017): and in the midst of the week (April/May 2017) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

    *compare e.g. Isaiah 45:1 THUS says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
