Certainly we'll witness many unpredictable events also. And as the unforeseeable unfolds in the coming months, we will explore them right here in the light of Bible prophecy. (Tweet that!) That's what this blog is all about.
But amazingly there are four events we can predict right now that are coming in 2015 that are important and, I believe, extremely significant spiritually. (Tweet that!)
Do you know what I'm thinking of? (If you've been reading this blog for very long I'm betting you do.)
Four amazing worldwide events coming in 2015 (Tweet that!) are the:
- Total Solar Eclipse (visible in only some parts of the world) coming March 20, 2015
- Total Lunar Eclipse on Passover (the 3rd of the four "Blood Moons") coming April 4, 2015
- The last day of the Shemitah year, which is Elul 29 on the Hebrew calendar and corresponds to [corrected:] sundown September 12, 2015 to sundown September 13, 2015
- Total Lunar Eclipse on Sukkot (that's the Feast of Tabernacles) (and is the 4th of the four "Blood Moons") coming September 28, 2015
We'll talk a bit more about each of these four events in the next four posts. We'll study them all more in depth in the coming months, definitely before each event. If you can't wait, I've linked to an article about the Shemitah in that link in #3. I've also created Facebook events for the solar and April lunar eclipses. Please join those by clicking the links in #1 and #2.
While all of these events will be historic, I also believe we will see amazing things happening this year in many countries including Israel, Iraq, and the United States. It's a good bet we'll probably also see significant events in Russia, China, Iran, and other countries. Possibly Egypt? Probably North Korea.
Why do I say this? Because we've already seen events taking place in these nations. Remember the Russian invasion of Crimea? The shooting down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over Ukraine on July 17, 2014? The Muslim spring in Egypt? The tension over computer hacking at Sony in the U.S. blamed on North Korea? The beheadings in Iraq? Then there is the coming reality of nuclear weapons in Iran.
Nevertheless, this blog is meant to encourage you, not to create fear (see 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11). So please come back on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for new posts. And invite a friend to join you. These posts make great material for discussions among friends, families, or for Bible study groups.
I'll look forward to walking through this year with you as 2015 reveals its amazing worldwide events. Thank you for joining me!
